THEORY
CHILD DEVELOPMENT & PSYCHOLOGY: This equips them to handle varied Child Personalities and characteristic Behavioural Issues.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT: This Subject enables the Students to understand Child Behaviour and Development. It helps in solving Behavioural Problems. This enables understanding the Physical, Intellectual, Social and Emotional Development of Children.
METHODS AND MATERIALS: The Subject instructs us on how to plan activities to teach children, in the age group of 0-7 years.
PROGRAMME PLANNING: The Subject comprises of planning of activities. How to teach languages, Mathematics and Environmental Studies to children of Pre-Primary / Primary Classes.
CHILD HEALTH AND NUTRITION: The Students understand the concept of Health Hygiene and Nutritional needs of Children.
PRINCIPLES OF EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION: The Subject deals with aims and objectives of education. The Educational philosophies and contribution of Indian and Western educators, in the field.
PARENTS, COMMUNITY & SCHOOL ORGANISATIONS: Dealing with Parents and Community, is an essential feature for the Teachers. This subject makes Students understand the working and Administrative Structure of the School.
PRACTICAL
AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS: This enhances Creativity and Aesthetic Appreciation in a Child. Include various techniques of doing Art and Craft, e.g Origami, puppets, clay toys etc.
LESSON PLANNING & MICRO TEACHING: Students are equipped with the art of preparing lesson plans and developing some teaching skills.
CASE STUDY: Students have to do an in-depth study of one child by observing and recording him/or her.
APPLIED TEACHING: Internships in Schools gives an opportunity to Students to apply their Educational Knowledge in real-life situation.
MICRO TEACHING: This enables the Students in developing systematic Teaching Skills.
FIRST AID: To handle any emergency or mishap in the School.
TEACHING LEARNING MATERIAL: Learning and preparing of Audio-Visual aids like: alphabet books, story media, flash cards, charts, puzzles and games. The Subject also enhances creativity and aesthetic appreciation of the future Teacher.
SPECIALISED CASE-STUDY: To study the physio-motor, socio- emotional of a child. To analyse the concerned factors, as a practical comprehensive Case Study.
PRACTICE OF TEACHING: The Trainees are given an opportunity to implement Educational Theory into practice in real-life situations
