The Garment Technology Course was started thirty-five years ago. It was to help women stand strong and self-sufficient, in the world. The objective even today, is to train true professionals that serve India’s Garment Industry.
   This vocation is all about actual garment production. The garments are created by giving studied life to a design. The emphasis is on style understanding, research, market surveys, pattern making, garment construction, fabric selection, garment embellishments, for both men and women.
       The students are also introduced to Computers and Computer-Aided Design, through different packages.
     They are exposed to the Industry and the Market, through outdoor visits to he Export Houses, Buying Centres, Museums & Bazaars, etc. This alongwith subject knowledge, enables the students to apply their skills ably and be successful.
     This field can make you a Technical Manager ,in the genre of Production or Sampling Co-ordinator ,Quality Supervisor, etc. It is also ideal for girls who want to open their own workshops or boutiques.
