Digital Pattern Making

 

We are a pioneering and techno-friendly College providing state-of-art skills,in digital Garment Design. It is an ideal course to learn how to design and construct clothes,if with paucity of time OR for enhancement of prior /acquired skills.
This course provides training in three major areas.That of :-
* Drafting
* Layout Planning
* Assembly.
The Pattern Cutting System has been an age old and time tested technique, used the world over. We will impel you to innovate limitless designs, practically. The Program shall also encompass all three sectors,that of:
* Mens Wear
* Womens Wear
* Kids Apparel

or in individual personal ways. It will

MODULES


ONE YEAR
    
COMPUTER FUNDAMENTALS
An introduction to the usage and tools of the Computer. All the basic elements of Multi Media and Internet are also taught.		 GRADING ART
This subject opens windows into the complex world of Grading. We cover contents that go beyond the scope of an introductory level. Advanced concepts are introduced to provide quality control on size, assessment and grading.		 GRAPHIC ART
A knowledge of elementary graphic images are given. These are thereafter, digitally composed (using Corel draw and Photoshop Software) on Computers. In short, we cover the basic concepts of Graphic Art.
PATTERN MAKING & LAYOUT PLANNING
Students will learn the fundamentals of Pattern Making, that include Applied Constructions. A special focus will be on Pattern Placements upon Fabrics, with consistent Layout Planning.		 ILLUSTRATOR STUDIES
We cover the fundamentals of Computer Illustration and their usage in Print and Web-based Media. Adobe Illustrator Tool skills are taught including bitmaps and tonal chrome variations.		 ASSEMBLY ART
We teach the basic sewing and assembly instructions for final construction of the Design Ensemble, as per fabric cut.
